As an associate attorney with Cofer & Connelly, I bring a high level of emotional intelligence, compassion, and advocacy to meet clients where they are during some of the toughest moments in their lives.
Originally from San Marcos, Texas, I proudly identify as a “San Martian.”
I earned my B.A. in Global Studies from St. Edward’s University—go Hilltoppers! During my studies, I embraced the university’s ethos to “take on my world.” I delivered a TEDx Talk titled “The Lines We Create” at TEDxStEdwards in 2015, studied civil rights in South Africa, and received scholarships to independently study in Costa Rica and Chile. These experiences strengthened my language skills and deepened my understanding of how culture, systems, and perspectives shape human experience.
These opportunities challenged me to think critically, communicate across differences, and approach complex issues with curiosity and empathy. They instilled in me an appreciation for active listening, asking thoughtful questions, and recognizing that behind every legal matter is a human story. These lessons continue to shape my advocacy, grounding my work in perspective, genuine connection, and thoughtful problem-solving.
After graduating from St. Edward’s, I developed a passion for working with families and children in advocacy roles. This passion led me to serve as a Program Leader with Latinitas, where I worked with young girls in public school programs, and later to the Texas Children’s Defense Fund, contributing to large-scale advocacy initiatives in communications. These roles deepened my commitment to service and reinforced my belief that my strengths in communication, empathy, and advocacy would be best utilized through practicing law.
At St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio, I further honed these skills through hands-on advocacy and client-centered legal work. As a student attorney in the Social Justice and Human Rights Clinic, I represented immigration clients, sharpening my legal writing, communication, and advocacy skills. Additionally, I clerked with Texas RioGrande Legal Aid in the Family Law Division, where I developed a particular passion for advocating on behalf of survivors of domestic violence. These experiences solidified my legal foundation and strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, thoughtful representation during life’s most difficult challenges.
As an attorney, I am dedicated to continuous growth and to cultivating a practice defined by strong advocacy, thoughtful problem-solving, and genuine connection with my clients. I believe meaningful advocacy begins with understanding each client’s unique circumstances and communicating clearly to achieve practical, thoughtful solutions.
Outside of work, you can find me reading my next book club pick, enjoying time in the sun or at the river, learning a new language, or planning my next trip.
